No Place Like Home

What he means by this is simple. He is saying that Green Valley is a place where certain actions are encouraged or prohibited. it brings to mind these activities and stipulations. He says, "A place in the processes of becoming what it purports to be". therefor, the place itself represents action or a transformation process.

His tone seems to be that of skepticism. He is not convinced that what all the residents say is true. He comments on the way all the houses look the same when he says, "each block looks eerily like the next". He also says, "the desultory ambience of  an architectural mistake" when he is describing civic center. Phrases such as this clue the reader as to how the writer feels about the subject and the area in general.

Suburbs are always going to exist whether they are a safe place or not. All of the suburban areas that i have ever been to have seemed to be quite safe. Whether in Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, or Nashville, i never felt like i could not handle any situation that came my way. None of these locations seemed to me to pose any kind of threat to my health. I think the true danger lies within these planned communities when they become strictly controlled. This is usually done to "protect" the community but it results in smothering the individuality of the people that live there.

The Pool
when i think about home, i think about the good times i had with friends and family. The one thing that i remember the best, though is going to the pool during the summer time. I spent about 6-7 hours per day at the pool from may until early september. I did this from when i was 8 until i was about 14. I knew everyone at the pool. All of my friends went to my pool in my neighborhood, even people who didn't live there. It was a time to hang out with friends and meet girls. I loved to jump off the high dive at the pool. It is about 12 feet off the water. It is the highest board at any pool in the area. every year we would have a biggest splash contest on that high dive.

Hot Woman

There are many important factors that have to be in place in order for me to find a woman hot. She needs to not be loud and annoying. I like a woman with a nice pair of legs. Angelina Jole's lips are super hot. Kate Hudson has some fine legs. I like a woman who is not bossy but knows where shes going. I like it when a woman has a spark in her eyes.

Two woman in politics

There are several important things that a person would need to know in order to find this skit funny. You need to know that both of these women take their political careers very seriously in order to see the humor in how flipent they were. The accents of each were greatly exagerated. You would need to know that these women have very different political views on almost every major topic. They make fun of former sexual comments that were directed at each. you would need dto know about these comments to find them funny.

Woman

If i woke up one morning to discover that i was a woman....
I would flip my stuff! Why, how did this happen? I wouldtry to figure a way to change myself back. If it was only for a day or two i would just sit back and try to relax. I would try to see things from the opposite gender's perspective. I would hide from anyone I know. I would go into the women's baathroom to see what it was like. I would go beat up some people I don't like because they could not hit a girl. I would probably be unhappy.

This message written on the pavement is an interesting way to present an idea to the public here at the University of Tennessee. The messages can be seen in various locations around the campus. This particular location is right in the middle of an area where thousands of students walk every day. The message is simple, "TNT @ 7pm". This is intended to spark an interest in each passerby. It is intended to make the reader wonder what the message refers to. The writing on the ground competes for a busy individual’s gaze. There is no description of what to expect at this event, no telling who will be there, and no day on which this event occurs. There is just a small note to the side that reads, “It’s a time to worship”. The way these random notes are scattered around campus, it almost seems like a scavenger hunt. This message is an effective way to advertise an idea and event because it makes the observer curious and it also adds an element of suspense.

boomsday mayhem

Hey Bro,
This weekend was a ton of fun. Hit West Park sunday morning and did the church thing. headed off to work after that. got off round about 5:30 and headed downtown. Went to G10 and met up with Bradley and some other people. We grilled out for a while. They had this sweet wakeboard show down along the river. Ben Dorton was there because Mastercraft was the sponsor. Saw him, Zondra, an Jaz chillin in one of the boats. They were jumpin from one pool to the other. That place was so freakin crowded. Hooked up with Casey, Nathan, and Brian at that point and walked around with them for a little while. Casey did some pull-ups at the Marine tent. Alex, Matt, and I headed down to Jaz's to watch the fireworks from his boat then.

Hey Granny,
Had some fun stuff going on this weekend here in Knoxville. You know I am going to UT now. Me and some friends met up downtown along the river to watch a big fireworks show called Boomsday. We got there early so that we could grill out and hang out with other friends befor the fireworks started. There were all kinds of venders and stands set up to sell things. I saw a bunch of friends from high school and stuff down there. It was very crowded though. I went down to a marina to watch the actual fireworks from my friend Jaz's boat. He had a ton of food and drinks for us there. by the time the show started, there were about 35 poeple on his boat. We had a good time. I waited there for a while after the fireworks ended. That made it easier to walk back out. Then, we went to my friend Bobby's apartment for the rest of the night.
